The UC500 Engineer course will cover GUI based configuration via Cisco Configuration Assistant v3.x of the UC500 product line. The student will configure a factory default box to a working fully featured unit. We will discuss the features and benefits of the different phone models available from Cisco. We will cover off intermediate features like common firewall services, port security, hunt groups, etc. We will also focus on the advanced capabilities of the UC500 platform such as SSL VPN, Advanced Voice configurations, Auto Attendants, wireless, etc.
It is suggested the students have a basic understanding of PBX or Key Telephony systems and basic CCNA or equivalent work experience. Students with no Cisco background will be successful with this course but may need to research some IT and Voice topics for more in depth understanding of the topics.
