Students will learn to perform system setup and customization. Students will add, delete, and modify subscribers as well as monitor and maintain the Cisco Unity system. Students will start to build the foundation by understanding the product features and how to use them before attending the follow on engineering level course where they will learn how to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the features. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be competent administrators of the the Cisco Unity product, up to and including Release 5.x. Candidates must have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Exchange 2000 or IBM Lotus Domino messaging environment, as wellas the features, benefits, and programming of at least one manufacturer’s PBX (Cisco Unified CallManager or Cisco Unified Communications Manager preferred).  Although not officially part of the CCVP track, this course is a suggested preprequisite to TUC.  AUM is the first two days of the IUM course; AUM focuses on administration only of Unified Communications.

Prerequisites

Students should have:
