This course is designed for systems and field engineers, consulting systems engineers, technical solutions architects and Cisco integrators and partners who install and implement the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches. The course covers the key components and procedures needed to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches in the network environment. This course explores the latest features and functionality of Cisco's Catalyst 6500 Series Switch, including the architecture of the chassis and line cards, with a detailed focus on the new Supervisor engine, the Sup 2T. The course also introduces the students to the role that the Cat 6500 plays in "identity-based" networking leveraging 802.1x and how to configure NetFlow to support performance objectives. |
